And So It Begins

Look at that face!? How do you say "No" to it!?!
I LOVE being a Mommy. LOVE IT. That being said, it seems as though I'm going to have my arms full when it comes to punishing and correcting her behavior.  Seriously, she makes it next to impossible- Look at the face! When you tell her no she makes you feel like a stain on the toilet seat.

What you asked caused this painfully adorably sad reaction? She was chewing on my coffee table. My response was to clap my hands and yelled "Tali, NO" and then she jumped like an inch in the air and started to cry. Then while still crying and looking at me she started to CHEW on the table again!!! ARGG!! So again, clap "Tali NO!"...

We've done everything we can think of to correct this behavior, we pick her up and move her to her toys. We give her a new toy, we gently say "NO", we sternly say "NO", but then as soon as we turn around she's munching on the table again. Annoying. Adorable. Pretty much next to impossible to be mad at her.  I think she understands us now and is choosing to ignore us. We say "Arms up Tali" before we pick her up, and without fail, every time we say it, she lifts her arms. She obviously understands that... and  the word "no" is a much easier instruction. Gah... she has me wrapped around her pinky finger... especially when she throws those little pudgy arms up in the air for Mommy to pick her up after shes been caught snacking on my table.
