| Tali and The BUG |
This quickly backfired as every member of our family filled our house with loud, obnoxious, but adorable toys. We debated taking all the batteries out of them, hiding them, or donating them. However, we discovered that most of the Toys have a volume control on them now. Excellent. This made the obnoxious toys all bearable- you could only hear the toy clearly if you were up close to it. Those little switches are a game changer. Perhaps even a sanity saver.
The ONE exception, is a little plastic Bug that lights up and plays the tune of nursery rhymes at an intolerable high pitched shrill. This little bug happens to fit in Talia's hand perfectly. Every time she pushes the button, her face lights up with glee as the little toy blinks colourful lights and sings to her. She can smash it on the floor and it continues to play. She smashes against the coffee table and it continues to play. She drops it from her high chair and it continues to play. There is no volume control. There is no power switch. It's indestructible. This just happens to be the the one toy that she LOVES, and the one toy that The Wonderful Husband and I can't stand. We try to bury it in the bottom of the toy box. We try to hide it behind furniture. We try to occupy her with other toys. It never fails. She always finds the noisy bug.
I'm beginning to think she only loves this Bug so much because she knows how much it drives us bonkers.
Do you have a toy that your little one loves but drive you bonkers?

*Starts hunting for another super bug* That's right Aunt Cheri knows how to torture Mom and Dad, and make Tali happy!!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry Kimmy..We thought it was adorable. Much like the one we bought for Jameson..:) We will do better for big B day #1.....really, it will at least have a volume control. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt is adorable... and she LOVES It! It's very much like that dancing gorilla I had that sang the macarena.
