It's Happened

I've done my fair share of complaining about Tali's sleep patters, or perhaps I should say lack of sleep patterns. I've kept quiet lately. I've been too afraid to publicly post anything for fear of the last 2 weeks being a complete fluke or jinxing myself. But here I go.

Crashed while Mommy was in the shower
She sleeps through the night now. In the last 2 weeks (at least) there has only been one night where Talia has gone all diva on me -Which also happened to be the night before my first day of work. Other than that, we put her to bed at 7:30, and then she wakes up around 6 or 7am. Granted sometimes it's around 5, but generally if thats the case she wants to nurse a bit and then go back to sleep. This is AMAZING.  When She wakes up, now, she comes in for some cuddle time, then hangs out in her bed while I have my shower. Normally she stays wide awake and sings and chatters until I'm done; however, the odd time she'll take an impromptu nap if she woke up too early.

Her napping has become much better as well. 10am rolls around and she's rubbing her eyes like clock work and will sleep for a solid 90mins. Afternoon nap time still requires some convincing. Sometimes she flat out refuses to sleep, and instead spends an hour playing in her bed, laughing and chattering to herself.

I'm not sure what's been the big kick for her sleeping through the night. We've been slowly starting to wean her, and right around that time is when shes started to sleep through the night. She's also MUCH more active now, she rarely crawls now, and instead runs (more like a steady wobbly waddle)  towards everything at full tilt.

I feel like a functioning human now. The idea of walking over to the park with Tali doesn't make me want to run for cover and hide under my bed. When The Wonderful Husband comes home from work  I can greet him with more than just grunts and incoherent babble about nothing. Here's to hoping that this trend doesn't stop anytime soon!
